Greek Mathematical Society – branch of Trikala
The Greek Mathematical Society (EME) has a history of 90 years. It was founded in 1918 in Athens and now has branches in most regions of the country, while developing multifaceted activities. Its operation is based on voluntary members.
The purpose of EME is the promotion and dissemination of the various branches of mathematic science. This aim is achieved through a series of objectives that have been set as follows:
- the progress of Science in Mathematics,
- the development of free exchange of information between mathematics, scientists and society,
- the development and maintenance of scientific integrity and improving the capacity of its members,
- the effective and continuous improvement of mathematics education and the progress of general education,
- the approach of Greek mathematician, the information of any recent developments in science and technology and the offer of practical assistance in matters concerning him during the academic, educational and teaching work.
